Built for how families actually swim

The Baja shelf is 12–18 inches deep — perfect for toddlers, small kids, and adults who want to sit in the water. It's not a feature you add; every NEXA includes it as standard. Entry steps drop from the shelf into the main pool so kids learn depth gradually. The NEXA 26 and 31 have enough room for kids to play in the shallow zone while adults swim laps in the deep end at the same time.

Safety without sacrificing the look

California requires pool barriers for homes with children under 5. We offer a powder-coated safety fence for $6,500 — designed to match the pool surround rather than stick out like a construction fence. It removes without tools for adult-only entertaining. Every NEXA also includes autofill and Jandy phone-controlled automation, so you can see water level and turn off the pump remotely.

Durability for heavy use

A family pool takes abuse: sun, chemical swings, constant use. Pebble Tec is the most durable pool interior available — it outlasts plaster by 15+ years and holds up to summer-daily use without rough patches. Every NEXA finishes in genuine Pebble Tec, not a painted plaster that looks good for two seasons. The saltwater system is gentler on kids' skin and eyes than chlorine, and requires fewer chemical additions.

Common questions

What makes a pool family-friendly?

A shallow entry, a Baja shelf for young kids, gradual depth change, durable finish, and a safety fence. Every NEXA includes all of these except the fence, which is a $6,500 add-on.

Is the Baja shelf on every NEXA?

Yes. Every NEXA includes the Baja shelf as a standard feature — it's not an upgrade.

Does California require a pool fence for families?

Yes — California law requires a pool barrier for homes with children under 5. Our safety fence add-on ($6,500) meets code and is designed to blend with the pool surround.

Is saltwater safe for kids?

Yes — and gentler than chlorine. Saltwater pools convert salt to chlorine in low concentrations, producing less eye and skin irritation than a traditional chlorine pool.
